To All,
What do you get when a number of suckers, er..um...registered voters
are willing to suspend disbelief?
Born
Yesterday:
One can only wonder what is being taught in the public universities today
when college students today apparently may prove to be Senator Barack
Obama's strongest supporters in the Democrat Primary Process currently
heading towards a Dénouement in Denver next August. It's surely not
Economics 101.
After all, the very same students who have taken out tens of thousands of
dollars each in student loans appear headed towards putting a guy in charge
whose fiscal and environmental policies seem to originate from the hallowed
halls of Patrice Lumumba U ( More specifically, from the Boris Badanov
Institute For Economic Progress, which also has annexes in California,
Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Venezuela.).
One can only wonder as to what jobs these students intend to hold for 20
years or more so that they then can pay said loans off over time, given that
Senator Obama apparently intends to kill off most of the economic velocity
that encouraged his erstwhile student supporters to take on those long term
obligations to the American Taxpayer in the first place (These are also the
same loans that Mrs. Obama seemed to take issue with, just after her salary
was sizably increased at a certain Chicago hospital that appears to have
been the recipient of Federal largesse. ). Oh well, the Law of Unintended
Consequences can be a harsh mistress at times.
Still, where there is a will there may be a way. There is, of course, a lot
of deification going on in the Mainstream Media. Perhaps it is the Good
Senator's intention to take this year's allowable Pacific Salmon quota (7
cohos) and combine it with bread made with what wheat that is not being
dedicated to more environmentalist-friendly clean burning biofuels (about 7
loaves worth, no more), and feed the 49% of Democrat voters currently in his
camp for the duration. How that pays off the defaulted student loans is
anyone's guess, but then like loans to low income home buyers that is
something apparently best left for others to deal with.

Let's
Get Ready To RUMMMMBBBBLLLLEEEE!!!!!!!:
Jed Babbin writes at HumanEvents.com about a little rhubarb that may be
heading to the Halls of the World's Most Deliberately Obtuse Debating
Society.
It seems that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Searchlight, NV) has
apparently "welched" on a deal made with Senate Minority Leader Mitch
McConnell (R-KY, as in what Senator Reid is going to need after McConnell is
done with him) in getting a number of delayed judicial appoints ready for
up-or-down floor votes scheduled before the Memorial Day Recess.
Now, Senator McConnell is usually known as a man of his word. And one must
figure that when he starts using words like "...reprisals..."
during the same time a
Democrat-controlled Congress with an 18-21% approval rating tries to salvage
the current legislative cycle, there will figuratively be Blood in The
Octagon in short order. Given that Tito Ortiz is just about to have his last
contract fight under the UFC, it will be good to see such true professionals
demonstrate their own "ground and pound" strategy to it's ultimate level. Stay tuned.

With
Friends Like These....:
What with the Democrat Rules Committee getting together in the near future
to determine the fate of delegates from Michigan and Florida, the battle to
stay in the good graces of the voters from each of these important states
could not be any more important than ever before.
Yet Senator Obama is faced with a late endorsement from possibly a most
untimely source. Alex Spillius reports at Telegraph.co.uk that Fidel Castro
has come out in "qualified" support of the Junior Senator from Illinois.
Spillius does report that Senator Obama is trying to have it both ways on
the issue of a Cuba Policy. While willing lift travel and remittance
restrictions, and even to meet with Raul Castro ( presumably without
preconditions), Senator Obama apparently also is indicating that he would
maintain "nearly all" trade sanctions to maintain US leverage for Cuban
democratic reforms.
While it remains to be seen as to whether Senator Obama's competitors will
be able to exploit what may be the "kiss of (political) death" to the
registered voters of Miami's "Little Havana", it is clear that Socialists
and Marxists worldwide are crossing their fingers and offering up burnt
offerings in hopes of Senator Obama's accession to the White House (In the
case of Myanmar or Gaza, that may be more literal than one would normally
expect.). Given that such things tend not to sell on Main Street, no matter
the assistance from the Solons of the Media, one perhaps wonders if one is
finally seeing the beginning of the end of Obama's run for the Presidency.
Stay tuned.
