The most common reason for an individual to purchase a firearm is to be able to defend his/her family. This course tackles a wide range of topics. From the proper mindset, how to prepare your home for safety, use of force, aftermath and shooting techniques.

Prerequisite:

Law-abiding adult citizen

Proof of Shooting Experience (one or more)
Completed Basic Pistol Course
Completed First Steps Pistol Course
Marksmanship Qualification (Pistol)
Military DD214 (Pistol)
CCW Holder
Pass the Pre-Course Test
or Instructor’s Permission

Wear comfortable clothing

Wear long pants instead of shorts
Avoid low cut shirts
Wear closed toe shoes

Bring the following items to the class:

Your firearm with 2 or more magazines for your firearm (may be rented at the range)
Eye and ear protection (if you don’t have one, they will be provided)
100 or more rounds of ammunition for your firearm (may be purchased at the range)
Dummy ammunition for your pistol (rental may be available)
Bottled water
Snack
A pen
Old T-shirt (will be destroyed)
